Hangyu Li
Hangyu Li is a Huashan Tenure-track Associate Professor at the National Key Laboratory of Space-Ground Integrated Information Technology, Xidian University, and a member of the Intelligent Information Processing (IIP) team (PI: Prof. Nannan Wang). He received his B.Eng. degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Shandong University in 2017 (advisor: Prof. Xianye Ben), and his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communications Engineering from Xidian University in 2023 (advisor: Prof. Nannan Wang). From 2023 to 2025, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University (advisor: Prof. Bo Han).
His research interests include artificial intelligence and multimodal emotion understanding and generation. In the past five years, he has published 10 papers as first/corresponding author in international journals and conferences including IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TAFFC, IEEE TMM, CVPR and IJCAI, and contributed to one electronics industry standard as a member of the leading organization (ranked 4th). He has been selected into the Shaanxi Sanqin Yingcai Young Talent Program and the National Funded Postdoctoral Researcher Program (Category B), and has hosted the NSFC Young Scientists Fund (Category C), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Program, the Shaanxi Natural Science Basic Research Program for Youths (Category C), and the Shaanxi Postdoctoral Research Project. He serves as Area Chair for ICASSP and IJCNN, Associate Editor of Scientific Reports, and Guest Editor for Machine Learning and Symmetry.
