Nannan Wang is a Distinguished Professor at Xidian University and the Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Space-Ground Integrated Information Technology. His major research interests focus on computer vision and machine learning, particularly in heterogeneous image synthesis and recognition, credible artificial intelligence, and embodied intelligence. He has published more than 200 papers on top-tier journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IJCV, IEEE TIP, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, etc.
He has authorized over 40 patents with 7 technology transfers, led the formulation of 2 industry standards, and participated in 4 international/national standards. He received the First Class Prize for Natural Science from CSIG (R1), the First Class Prize for Natural Science from MoE (R2), and the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology First Prize (R5). He currently serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Visual Computer, Associate Editor of IEEE TIP and TMLR, and (Senior) Area Chair of ICML, NeurIPS, and ICLR. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Xidian University under the supervision of Prof. Xinbo Gao, and visited the University of Technology, Sydney from Sep. 2011 to Sep. 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Dacheng Tao.
